Syncretic Craft of the Wise
Syncretism . . . Not a means to an end…A means to a beginning
Syncretism is defined as reconciliation of differing systems of belief, as in philosophy or religion. The autonomy of each stays intact and the interaction of all creates a new whole.
Syncretic Craft of the Wise is a Spiritual Life Path that strives to blend the old ways with the constantly evolving world in which we physically exist. It is a departure from traditional modern day Wicca. Syncretic Craft of the Wise explores and embraces belief systems that honor the Earth and all Her inhabitants, mineral, vegetable and animal.
The Syncretic Structure
In this typically nine to five, Monday through Friday existence, we live out of sync with our circadian rhythm, our Divine selves and the Heartbeat of the Earth. Practicing the Craft is a life long journey toward restoring that balance.
The Syncretic study structure is based on an agrarian cycle of life. This honors lunar and solar, feminine and masculine forces. Learning to work in harmony with these feminine and masculine elements teaches us to reclaim the power to heal ourselves and ultimately our world.
Lunar and Solar Forces · By celebrating the lunar cycles and exploring modalities that enhance connection to Feminine Divine we help deepen our metaphysical being. · The solar seasons of the Wheel of the Year are studied in order to reach a goal of crafting and celebrating rituals. This helps to deepen our more masculine, physical affinity with Mother Earth.
The Syncretic Study Structure
This tradition comprises of three levels of study: · Apprentice: Level One study that focuses on self-exploration and personal healing · Dedicate: Level Two study that expands level one skills into the community · Adept: Level Three study that continues that expansion to the world and beyond
Each year-and-a-day level of study is divided into four quarters: Imbolc · Beltane · Lughnassadh · Samhain
The above quarters will be presented in calendar order but need not be taken consecutively
For more information or to RSVP for a quarter, please contact Glory Vernon at thelivingMuse@aol.com , www.thelivingmuse.org.
